Alex owned Bad Wolf Costumes with his wife, Kate, for over 8 years before launching Tailors Gone Wild to help other aspiring sewing wizards pursue their dreams.
In addition to authoring several sewing/costuming blogs, Alex has hosted and spoken on several costuming panels at conventions. He’s also previously worked at a tailor shop and JoAnn Fabrics.
Alex is an active member of the Star Trek costuming community. Also a composer, he enjoys listening to movie scores, reading books, and building models.
Over the course of 8 years running Bad Wolf Costumes, Katherine literally made HUNDREDS of costumes for
many, many happy customers.
Prior to Bad Wolf Costumes, she took private commissions and worked in the costume department on a feature film.
Other than designing and creating new costumes, Katherine’s favorite pastimes include reading,
high fantasy video games, and drinking tea.
Yogurt believes in two things: magic and tailoring.
Having always wanted to be a wizard, Tailors Gone Wild was a dream come true for Yogurt. (“Apprentice” and “assistant” are almost the same thing, right?)
Yogurt’s other favorite things include Christmas, pirates, movies, and mayonnaise.
Alex’s Other Assistant (sort of)
Glutenheimig has a very particular set of skills …
… skills he’s acquired over a very long “career.”
Unfortunately, none of them have anything to do with sewing.
It’s been a HUGE privilege to have helped so many sewing wizards along their journey.
Here’s what people are saying about our sewing patterns!
