From the sound of things, I like your costuming tastes. 😉

Neat how you started with ties. I'd been actively sewing for over a decade before I first tried those.

If you're looking to branch out into costumes and apparel, I'd suggest trying something relatively quick and simple yet usable, such as pair of basic elastic pants. (Pajama pants patterns are plentiful.)

If that seems too easy, then you might try a costume-y Renaissance shirt, or even a basic vest/waistcoat.
