A few years ago, I had the privilege of studying a screen-used women's TNG skant.
I thoroughly documented the costume with a measuring tape and a bazillion photos, and you can read all about it here:

Of particular interest are the complex double-zipper closure system, and the bizarre interior construction. 🙂
