Sewing blog – "Star Trek Costume Guide"
As you probably know, Star Trek costumes are my thing.
My “Star Trek Costume Guide” blog has a growing number of FREE resources for everyone interested in learning about and/or making their own Star Trek costumes:
http://www.startrekcostumeguide.com
These sewing/costuming resources currently include:
- Screen-used costume examinations and “video tours”
- Free sewing pattern downloads
- Costume analyses
- Sewing tutorials
Additional planned resources will include:
- Dye recipes for screen-used color matches
- Recommended material sources
- Topical blog posts
- Topical video presentations
- Updated older analyses and tutorials*
My STCG blog is a long-term work-in-progress, in which I plan to eventually cover ALL the (pre-2009) uniforms and uniform eras.
My current focus is the TNG-era uniforms, but I'll be expanding into other uniform eras very soon. 🙂
* Prior to starting this STCG blog, I wrote loads of DS9/NEM, VOY, and ENT-era analyses and tutorials, most of which are still floating around the Internet. Once I conclude the TNG-era uniform projects, I’ll be updating all those older resources and moving them to their new home on the STCG blog.
If you're interested in Star Trek costumes, there's already a lot to read and watch, with LOTS more coming soon.
